Amends a contract with U.S. Motels Denver North, Inc. by adding $1,800,000 for a new total of $4,546,000 to provide short-term shelter through the established voucher program for individuals and families when the City’s emergency shelter beds are full, citywide. Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The scope of work of the contract with U.S. Motels Denver North, Inc. is to provide units for short term shelter for individuals and families when the City’s emergency shelter beds are full through the established voucher program. Individuals and families with children will be provided with safe accommodations at the Super 8 Motel location at 5888 N. Broadway, and as an overflow capacity option, at the Comfort Inn location at 401 E. 58th Ave. Families are defined as minors with at least one adult.
In order to be served by the voucher motel program families must have children under the age of 18 and participants may not have received more than 14 nights of motel vouchers within the previous 12 consecutive months. Families seeking overnight shelter resources can arrive at any of the locations listed below to be assisted with shelter resources and if eligibility and vacancy allows, connected to a short-term motel stay.
