The Denver Office of Climate Action, Sustainability and Resiliency (CASR) is executing several contracts that require the transfer of funds in 2022 from their Climate Protection Special Revenue fund into the Capital Improvement Program.

This request ensures that $4,000,000 from the Climate Special Revenue Fund has been transferred to Climate Protection Capital Projects Fund to properly account for the delivery of a capital project. This funding supports the 1.2 MW-DC agrivoltaics project at Denver Botanic Gardens Chatfield Farms (CASR-202263562), which at the time of submitting this is working its way through the council approval process (RR22-0725).

Note that a separate bill request for CASR was submitted to transfer $3,200,000 of funding to support several other contracts to deliver solar infrastructure, electrified mobility, energy conservation, and climate adaption capital improvement and maintenance projects. These contracts will be heard at council committee on July 13, 2022 (BR22-0785).
