Type and Scope of services to be performed:

 

Mental Health Center of Denver, d/b/a/ Wellpower, will continue to provide co-responder services for 24/7 coverage of the Crisis Intervention Response Unit (CIRU).  Changes include an updated scope, additional funding for three additional clinicians and an increased contract duration.

 

The Denver Police Department was awarded funding from Caring for Denver to continue its 24/7 coverage and expand its successful co-responder program.  This amendment increases the funding and duration of the program with Mental Health Center of Denver, d/b/a/ Wellpower, that pairs mental health clinicians with police officers and focuses on responding to calls for service involving individuals with suspected or known mental health needs.  This year, three additional clinicians will be placed with the Fire Department and Park Rangers.
