Type and Scope of services to be performed:

 

This contract amendment is an extension of existing services, with funding provided through the General Fund for marijuana education. Denver Juvenile Probation (DJP) as part of the State Judicial Department, will work with youth and families whose needs are better met by the YFTC to provide appropriate interventions regarding the youth’s marijuana use. Services may include community-based clinical interventions; evidence-based curricula; and pro-social activities.

 

DJP will provide one juvenile probation officers, one intervention specialist and one family engagement coordinator to work with youth and families who have been identified as having their needs best met through the YFTC. These staff will work youth and families on developing collaborative treatment and intervention plans, along with compliance monitoring and data collection. All referred clients will be monitored for mental health concerns or any change in mental health status and when applicable, will be referred out for additional services.
