Amends and revives a contract with Alpine Disposal, Inc. by adding 90 days for a new end date of 3-31-2023 to continue providing sorting and marketing of the city's recyclables while a new contract is executed (DOTI-201737957-06/ 202266236-06). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 2-20-2023. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 1-17-2023.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Reviving and extending term on contract with Alpine Disposal, Inc. for 90 days to continue to provide recycling processing and materials recovery facility services. Alpine Disposal, Inc. is responsible for receiving, processing, and marketing all program recyclables delivery to the contractor by or on behalf of the City. Current contract expired on 12/30/22, and this amendment will revive the contract and extend facility services until 3/31/23. RFP for new recycling facility services contract was issued on 10/13/22. New contract was awarded to the same entity, Alpine Disposal, Inc. dba GFL Environmental, Inc. on 11/21/22. New contract negotiations are expected to be finalized by 2/1/23 with new Ordinance Request to follow.
