EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

COLORADO ASIAN PACIFIC UNITED and NALYE LOR - LICENSE AGREEMENT

Colorado Asian Pacific United with artist Nalye Lor were granted funding from Denver Arts and Venues’ Urban Arts Fund, enabling the painting of this mural at Fire Station #4.  The mural commemorates the historic thriving Chinatown that was once centered in this Denver location near 19th Street and Lawrence Street.

Painting of the mural will likely take about one month; the three-month license term allows additional time in case of inclement weather.  In addition, the licensee is granted one day for an unveiling ceremony prior to 3/31/2024.

It is anticipated that this mural will remain in place for the long term, although the City retains the right to remove it or cause it to be repaired.
