Type and Scope of services to be performed:

 

This is 2023 Capital Replacements, in accordance by the MES Sourcewell contract #032620. This equipment will replace respiratory protection equipment that was manufactured in 2011-2014 to the NFPA 2018 Standard.

 

This is for the purchase of 89 Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs) and the accompanying face masks, regulators and Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) Packs featuring updated standards, intuitive advancements,  and several necessary additions to bring 100%  of the frontline apparatus into current  National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1981/1982, 2018 edition compliance, as well as Chemical Biological, and High-Yield Explosives (CBRNE-certified) and National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) mandates. The requested SCBAs will replace respiratory protection equipment that was manufactured in 2011-2014 to the NFPA 2018 Standard, which are a cycle beyond their recommended service life and warranty, and lack modern safety features including launderable, cancer-preventative straps, upgraded electronics, and a more ergonomically designed pack belt that sits higher on the hips to supports the heft of the pack in detail in attached Exhibit A. This is for 2023 Capital Replacements in accordance by the MES Sourcewell contract #032620, in the amount of $768,255.00.
