Executive Summary with Rationale and Impact:

Detailed description of the item and why we are doing it. This can be a separate attachment.

Wastewater operations is seeking approval to purchase a replacement large diameter pipe inspection system.  The current equipment is over twenty years old and the system it runs on is being replaced New large diameter pipe inspection system is needed to be able to do inspections with the new inspection systems and is no longer supported.    This system enables Wastewater to conduct CCTV operations in its 2,732,316 ft of 24” and greater storm and sanitary sewer lines. 54.1% of all storm lines are 24” and greater and these inspections are used to assess pipe condition for repair and replacement. The inspections also identify maintenance needs which may impact the systems capability to convey sewer both storm and sanitary. Inspections in large diameter pipes also support our Water Quality Team and the cities MS4 Permit.

This purchase will be made from Wastewater’s 2023 appropriation in 72100-5062300.
