Type and Scope of services to be performed:

GRID Alternatives Colorado, Inc. is a non-profit providing the SolarCorps Fellowship Program, a paid training pathway

which aims to connect Denver job seekers from underserved communities with career opportunities in

the rapidly growing renewable energy industry.

The original RFP and contract were under $500K however, due to initial success of the program in year 1 graduation of three under-resourced individuals (including low income, justice involved, and BIPOC individuals) in solar installation, additional budget is needed to increase trainee hourly wages to keep apace current labor market conditions (proposed increase from $16/hr to $19.41/hr with 5% cost of living adjustment in year 2 and 3) and provide trainees with additional work based learning and staff expertise. The amendment adds $139,332 to this contract to provide higher wages to trainees, extend the training program from 11 to 12 months, increase staff training hours, and provide cost of living adjustment in wages to trainees and staff.
