Grants the authority to acquire through negotiated purchase or condemnation of all or any portion of any property interest as needed in support of the Elevate Denver Bond Sidewalk Gap Program, including easement interests, access rights, improvements, buildings, fixtures, licenses, permits and other appurtenances, located between South Dayton Street and South Akron Street, along East Girard Avenue in Council District 4. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 4-18-2023.

Land Acquisition Ordinance granting the authority to acquire through negotiated purchase or condemnation all or any portion of any property interest as needed for the installment of the Council District 4 Sidewalk Gap Improvement Project at the northwest corner of South Boston Court and East Girard Avenue, and along East Girard Avenue, between South Clinton Court and South Dallas Street. This includes easement interests, access rights, improvements, buildings, fixtures, licenses, permits and other appurtenances as part of the Project. The Project will facilitate installation of new sidewalks between S. Dayton St. and S. Akron St., along E. Girard Ave., located in Council District 4. The Project will require the negotiated purchase or condemnation of all or any portion of any property as needed. This includes easement interests, access rights, and improvements. This ordinance also grants the right to negotiate and execute all agreements and the authority to process all necessary payments. Council District 4 Sidewalk Gap Improvement Project has a total of four (4) parcels, in the form of temporary easements. These parcels include the following:
• TE-01: NWC of S. Boston Ct & E. Girard Ave.
o Apartment Building (25+ Units)
• TE-02: A segment along the North side of E. Girard Ave, near the NEC of S. Clinton Ct. & E. Girard Ave.
o Residential
• TE-03: A segment along the North side of E. Girard Ave., between S. Dallas Ct. and S. Clinton Ct.
o Residential
• TE-04: NWC of S. Dallas Ct. and E. Girard Ave.
o Residential
