Type and Scope of services to be performed:

This contract provides an additional $2,227,827 to Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., for the Temporary Rental Emergency and Utility Assistance (TRUA) program. The contract end date will remain December 31, 2023. Brothers Redevelopment provides rental and utility assistance to eligible households in the City and County of Denver earning up to 80% of the area median income AMI) that are unable to pay rent and utilities due to a financial hardship. Eligible households can receive up to 6 months of rental assistance per calendar year and/or one-time utility assistance per utility type (Denver Water or Xcel Energy) per calendar year. The program can also provide relocation assistance, including security deposit assistance and rental assistance at a future residence for applicants who have been displaced due to eviction. This amendment will allow an additional 250 households to be served, for a new total of 1,410 households served with rental and utility assistance.  

These funds provided to Brothers Redevelopment, Inc., are being utilized for the administration of the Temporary Rental Emergency and Utility Assistance (TRUA) program. Brothers Redevelopment will provide emergency housing rental assistance and utility assistance to eligible households in the City and County of Denver. The program is designed to help residents avoid an eviction and maintain housing stability by assisting low- and moderate-income residents (80% area median income and below) who are experiencing a housing crisis due to a financial hardship.
