A resolution approving a proposed Second Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Nicoletti Flater Professional Limited Liability Partnership to continue providing psychological and counseling services, critical incident debriefings, as well as other assessments and consultations for the Department of Safety, citywide.
Amends a contract with Nicoletti-Flater Professional Limited Liability Partnership by adding $1,000,000 for a new total of $2,300,000 and one year for a new end date of 3-31-2025 to continue providing psychological and counseling services, critical incident debriefings, as well as other assessments and consultations for the Department of Safety, citywide (SAFTY-202158007-00/ SAFTY-202261779-01). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 6-12-2023. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 5-10-2023.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The Department of Public Safety continues to use Nicoletti Flater Professional Limited Liability Partnership services for employee, spouse, and/or family mental health services due to their familiarity in emergency services and the mental health needs of the first responder community due to continuous exposure to trauma, abnormal work shifts/hours, and work-related stressors.
In addition to unlimited individual or limited family mental health services, Nicoletti Flater provides consultation services for critical incidents (i.e., officer involved shootings, employee suicide, severe trauma exposure, etc.); required peer support team guidance and oversight; education for professional and uniformed personnel; and 24/7 crisis intervention services.
This request is to extend the term and increase the contract maximum amount to maintain services for our Department of Public Safety employees.
