Approves a contract with Volunteers of America Colorado Branch (VOA) for $528,405 and through 10-31-20 to provide 24-hour emergency shelter and supportive services at the Senior Women’s Emergency Shelter (SWES) to woman who are experiencing unsheltered homelessness, located at 1247 Santa Fe Drive in Council District 3 (2019-52521-00). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 1-13-20. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 12-11-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
VOA’s Senior Women’s Emergency Shelter (SWES) will provide 24-hour emergency shelter and supportive services for up to 25 homeless women as well as unaccompanied Veteran Women.
SWES will provide guests with a bed, bedding and the following services;
• Three (3) meals a day
• Supportive Services and Case Management that will be adapted to the individual needs of client
• Housing Placement Assistance
• Referral to Services to community partners including: behavioral health treatment, physical health care and substance abuse treatment services.
