Type and Scope of services to be performed:

Denver opened an auxiliary shelter for men in April 2020 to help provide appropriate spacing, medical triage and other supports for people experiencing homelessness as part of the city’s overall response during the COVID-19 emergency. The auxiliary men’s shelter provides support for up to 765 men at the National Western Complex. The shelter is available 24/7 and typically serves up to several hundred additional guests during the day who are accessing food and services.

This shelter provides relief for existing shelters that were not previously able to meet CDC guidance for spacing to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19. Guests are provided medical services through the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and support through partner service provider agencies such as the Denver Rescue Mission. This licensing agreement provides facility leasing through July 15, 2020.
