A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the Caring for Denver Foundation concerning the “Reaching Our Communities and Kids (ROCK)” program and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with Caring for Denver Foundation for $539,000 and through 7-31-23 to fund the Reaching Our Communities and Kids (ROCK) Project which will expand access to school and/or community-based mental health and substance misuse services, citywide (SAFTY-202056974). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 2-1-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 12-30-20.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Approves receipt of a three-year grant from the Caring for Denver foundation in the amount of $539,000 to fund the Reaching Our Communities and Kids (ROCK) Project which will expand access to school and/or community-based mental health and substance misuse services. This project is a partnership with Denver Public Schools, Denver Health STEP Program, and the Denver District Attorney’s Juvenile Diversion Program and the program will serve youth who are on Diversion (municipal or district court) and reside in one of the project zip codes including 80239, 80249, 80219 or 80223. Youth who attend a DPS middle or high school in the project zip codes are also eligible to receive services without being involved in Diversion.
