A resolution approving a proposed Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Kiewit Infrastructure Co. for integrated construction (IC) services to allow for the construction of the proposed bicycle and pedestrian bridge crossing over the UPRR tracks near 47th Avenue and York Street in the Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods.
Amends a contract with Kiewit Infrastructure Co., by adding $15,000,000 for a new total of $155,000,000 to incorporate the implementation of a bicycle and pedestrian bridge crossing over the Union Pacific Railroad tracks near 47th Avenue and York Street in Council District 9. No change to contract duration (201524268). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 11-5-18. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-9-18.

This amendment increases the maximum contract amount for Contract No. 201524268 for Integrated Construction Services from $140,000,000 to $155,000,000 to allow for the implementation of the bicycle and pedestrian bridge crossing over the UPRR tracks near 47th Avenue and York Street in the Elyria and Swansea neighborhoods of Denver. It adds required contract provisions for federal-aid construction contracts including Davis-Bacon and Related Act Provisions, apprenticeship and on the job training programs, and Equal Employment Opportunity that are necessary to utilize funding provided through the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). Refer to the Executive Summary for additional information.
