A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Third Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and Town of Morrison, to facilitate acquisition of identified improvements necessary to ensure long-term treatment of wastewater in an efficient and economical manner.
Amends an intergovernmental agreement with the Town of Morrison by adding $946,000 for a new total of $1,500,900 and six months for a new end date of 12-31-19 for engineering services and acquisition of wastewater improvements related to wastewater infrastructure at Red Rocks amphitheater (THTRS-201628380-03). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 4-29-19. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 3-20-19.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
The city of Denver and the Town of Morrison have been working together on engineering projects pertaining to Red Rocks Amphitheatre’s wastewater infrastructure. The original scope of work was engineering investigation and recommendations; amendments were later approved to include design of the recommended improvements. This amendment allows for implementation of the wastewater system improvements between Red Rocks and the Town of Morrison. The project outcome will be wastewater infrastructure that accommodates direct flow from Red Rocks into the Town of Morrison wastewater system and addresses existing odor issues in both Red Rocks and the Town.
