A bill for an ordinance establishing a new fund in the General Government Special Revenue Fund Series for the “Human Rights and Community Partnerships Collaboration” program, rescinding budget, making an appropriation and a making a cash transfer from the Human Services Special Revenue Fund Series.
Establishes the Human Rights and Community Partnership Collaboration Special Revenue Fund in the General Government series to accept funds from other City Funds and other sources of revenue, rescinds budget from the Human Services Special Revenue Fund, and transfers cash from the Human Services Special Revenue Fund to the new Special Revenue Fund to provide additional financial coaching. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 10-29-19.

This ordinance establishes a new Special Revenue Fund, the Human Rights and Community Partnership Collaboration Fund, Fund Number 11875, within General Government Series, to allow offices and divisions within Human Rights and Community Partnerships to accept funds from other City Funds (such as the General fund or Human Services Special Revenue Fund), donations and other sources of revenue, and to allow for easier collaboration on programming.
This ordinance also transfers $75,000 from Denver Human Services, 13813-5583000, to the newly established Human Rights and Community Partnerships Special Revenue Fund for the purpose of providing additional financial coaching in accordance with an agreement between the Office of Financial Empowerment and Protection and Denver Human Services. Additionally, a companion ordinance will rescind $50,000 in budget from the General Fund and appropriate said budget into this new fund.
The cost center associated with these funds will be 0150000 and the SRF will be cash basis and non-lapsing. The expending authority will be the Director of Human Rights and Community Partnerships.
