A bill for an ordinance approving a proposed Second Amendatory Agreement between the City and County of Denver and School District No. 1, to continue serving daily lunches to Denver Public School students by adding Brigaid, to provide operations-based training in 166 school kitchens within DPS.
Amends an intergovernmental agreement with School District No. 1 (Denver Public Schools) by adding $772,750.08 for a new total of $2,772,750.08 and one year for a new ending date of 7-31-2024, through the Healthy Food for Denver's Kids Initiative, to continue serving daily lunches to Denver Public School students by adding Brigaid, a chef led start-up dedicated to reimaging K12 school food service with quality healthy ingredients, citywide (ENVHL-202368514-02 / ENVHL-202160277). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 8-28-2023. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 8-2-2023.
