SERVICES DESCRIPTION
A. Shelter operations
1. TDP will provide day-to-day hospitable functions of a temporary 24/7 residential shelter for women and individuals who identify, express, and present as transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming experiencing homelessness.
2. TDP will follow a low-barrier, strength-based, trauma-informed, housing-focused approach to shelter operations.
3. TDP will provide a safe place to stay day and night with the following amenities and services:
a. a dormitory like room with a clean bed,
b. a locker to store client belongings,
c. meals and snacks,
d. hot showers and toiletries,
e. onsite laundry service,
f. custodial support,
g. transit passes for easier access to employment and healthcare,
h. Access to telephones for local calls, internet access, and computer stations.
B. Shelter programs
1. TDP will provide a Housing First Model designed to encourage shelter entry through progressive engagement and maximize exits into permanent and stable housing.
2. Rehousing activities include:
a. Housing-focused case management services that include Coordinated Entry assessments and individualized housing plans
b. Benefits and resource navigation
c. Housing navigation including housing searches and landlord outreach and engagement
d. Peer navigation including aftercare services for successful retention in housing.
