A resolution approving and providing for the execution of a proposed amended Grant Agreement between the City and County of Denver and the State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO) for the “My Outdoor Colorado” program and the funding therefor.
Approves a grant agreement with The State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund (GOCO) for $3,935,700.04 and through 9-30-24 for the My Outdoor Colorado coalition programming for the Westwood and Cole neighborhoods, engaging youth and families in outdoor programming in Council Districts 3 and 9 (202158240). The last regularly scheduled Council meeting within the 30-day review period is on 5-3-21. The Committee approved filing this item at its meeting on 3-30-21.

Type and Scope of services to be performed:
Comprised of Denver Parks and Recreation and nine community partners, the My Outdoor Colorado coalition is a visionary approach to connecting youth with the outdoors through strategic partnerships that provide access to nature education, recreation and skill-building opportunities. Access to the outdoors fosters a greater appreciation of the natural environment, provides opportunities to build an ethic of stewardship, and helps youth experience potential careers in the outdoors. This contract provides funding for Denver Parks and Recreation and the community partners to perform work in the communities with the goal of engaging youth and families in outdoor programming and pathways.
